This was my second attempt at a large piece of work. I made this piece in my own studio which meant I had more height restrictions but it was good to practice the technique.

After my visit to Julian Stair I began to scale up the traditional 15th Century forms into a more monumental scale.

The jug is my first attempt, after firing it is only around 1 meter high. I knew the shrinkage would be more noticeable but the reality was a bit of a shock.
