Having a new fan heater has greatly speeded up production. This maquette was made in one day and even though it is just a test piece I still had to climb a step to finish it. Given that the final version of this may be up to 2 meters tall the maquettes also need to be fairly substantial to get an idea of what the final piece will look like.

I have now made a sprig of the tile mentioned in the previous post so I can make impressions in the clay and I am researching relevant information to the client which can be scratched into the surface of the piece to make it more personal. Tomorrow I will start adding slip.
